Deutsches Haus in Burg (Spreewald)

Visit in August 2020: Good home cooking, we just didn't quite understand the system with the reservation, but that was probably "Corona-related"

Food plentiful and very good. Nice, friendly staff. Will definitely be back on my next vacation.

A gastronomy that I unfortunately rarely encounter on my travels. The down-to-earth and almost familiar furnishings make this style also found on the menu. Dishes you would get at home, homemade and really tasty. Served by people who also make you feel like you're a guest at someone's home. I felt good all around and the food was extremely tasty 😋

Very fast and friendly service. As I said, food came very quickly. Big portion. Even the children's portions are enough for adults. The farmer's breakfast was a little burnt on one side. But it wasn't bad, it still tasted good.

Food was plentiful, not necessarily self-cooked. Tastes z. T. After ready-made sauce. The game goulash wasn't just game. Staff are not so careful with the face mask, what a shame.

Eaten very delicious. Super friendly service and the staff / boss? for everyone to have fun (photo on stage). Thank you, it was a great evening. I can only recommend.

I haven't eaten that bad in a long time. Had game goulash with dumplings and red cabbage, it had nothing to do with game, no taste, red cabbage was heavily spiced. For 14.90 euros you can ask for a bit of taste and skill, because it tastes better at every snack bar. Oh ... the waitress had no face mask.

Quaint restaurant with friendly staff. The beef with horseradish sauce and the solyanka were delicious. My roast suckling pig was unfortunately more of a rolled roast and had no crust at all that I was looking forward to. Otherwise everything is ok.

The entire staff did not wear masks! Irresponsible. Food wasn't particularly good either. Hot lemon was also just hot water with 2 packets of ready-made lemon juice instead of fresh lemon, so it was not good. Uncomfortable ambience.

There is a beer garden and the service is very courteous and friendly. The food is delicious and quite plentiful. Unfortunately the rump steak was not medium, despite the corresponding demand. Otherwise well cared for and definitely recommended.

Pity! We came regularly from Cottbus to the Deutsches Haus for lunch and were always extremely satisfied with the down-to-earth traditional cuisine. Today we came back and unfortunately the recipe of our favorite dishes was changed (potatoes with quark and roulade) which is really very regrettable, as I found the best quark here. Now there is pepper in the quark and a boring cucumber salad has replaced the Spreewald classic mustard cucumber and pickled cucumber. The roulade was also not as convincing in terms of taste as before. We were told that there was a change of ownership and that value is now being placed on a modern way of serving, to have a modern way of serving is not a bad claim at first, only what has been lost in terms of taste is just a shame!

Attentive staff, simple menus with good value for money. The food was tasty and the drinks were nice. Cool drinks and also served service-oriented. We had a nice stay and think back fondly ... 👍

Today August 25th, we wanted delicious food. Parking nearby was good, unfortunately we didn't have a reservation. No problem, there is still a table free. Well, there wasn't much to see of Corona measures (no entry). Can happen. Ordered food. There was no draft beer. (Beer tap probably defective) Bottled beer (2 types!) Krombacher expired on April 19, 2020, amazement at the young host. Some guests also had expired beer. Then the hammer. I asked the waitress after 3/4 hour where our food was going, oh I haven't even given them. But now fled.

We were guests in the German House on August 22nd, 2020. Great service, very nice employees. Good food, great homemade cakes and and ....... I can only say. People discovered the Spreewald and the town of Burg.

Very tasty, large portions, cozy beer garden and very friendly service. The beef roulades are filled with Spreewald gherkins der the dessert was also really tasty. We'd love to come back!

We were there today and sat down in the beer garden, probably at the wrong table, because it was only after what felt like 10 minutes that a waitress noticed us, who then brought us two cards. Meanwhile the guests changed at the tables and we had chosen and just wanted to have a drink. After these guests not only got their cards faster, but even the food, we got up and left! Perhaps, like elsewhere, the waiters should have areas where they serve. It didn't make the impression there! At least you could go to the toilet for a little while ... Definitely not coming back ...

Value for money absolutely given, staff friendly and the food was delicious. Good German food for a good price. Only after 20 o'clock the food is scarce (only sour fish and potatoes with cottage cheese). Otherwise highly recommended !!
